I'm trying to decide if I should start this for my Dad & Mom.  I know Dad will hate the idea because he doesn't like accepting help from anyone, but the medical bills for this year and next year are going to be well over $10,000.  Not to mention the time that Mom will have to take off work while Dad is in ICU after the surgery.  Oh, and the travel expenses. 

The initial surgery/recovery will probably last at least three weeks.  This will be in FL.  And then, it's possible that he might have to have more operations depending on how the first one goes.

I honestly can't afford $15,000 worth of expenses!  I have no idea how to come up with enough money to help them with everything.  We should be able to set up payments for the surgeons/hospital (I hope), but the money for the travel expenses and stuff will be needed up front.

Even if the project only raised a few hundred dollars, at least that would help with the travel expenses, right??

Ugh...I'm stressed...And I know there isn't much I can do at this point, but I think this might be something to consider...

Anyone have any experience with the Human Tribe Project?  Any comments would be great...
