Originally, I'd told myself that between Christmas and my birthday (all those whoppin' two days in between lol), I'd start calling venues to schedule tours.  Then I said I might as well just wait until after my birthday.  Well it's 2 days after my birthday and I've still done squat.  So now I'm pushing it back til after New Years.  *sigh*  I mean really, why am I not motivated to do any of this?  The one place Craig REALLY wants to have the wedding at is gonna be booked through next year, I just know it.  Or until December, that's what I'm predicting.  So why can't I just get my shit together and call them and ask?  I mean good LORD, I have to start sometime!

I dunno what's holding me back.... Who cares.  I'm so blah about everything right now.

I told my dad about the part-time opening at work.  He goes, "Why would you want to go part time?"  I said, "Because I'm miserable and I hate being there every single day.  It feels like I never leave there."  He replied, "You're hardly there every single day.  Get over it."  Hmph.

I'm going out for brunch/lunch/coffee with Charleen tomorrow, maybe she can offer some insightful advice about the situation.  And help me with the wedding haha.  I'm gonna ask her tomorrow if she'll be my matron of honor.  I'm sure she'll say yes, but just so we get the ball rolling on SOMETHING.

The other day, I made a Backstreet Boys station on my Pandora.  Don't judge.  It freakin rocks lol.  I'm gonna listen to it right now, in fact!

I took a break from sewing to do this end of the year survey that I do every year, so here goes:

1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
♦ Got engaged!!  Also felt an earthquake lol.  And I finished an embroidery project that I started!  I never finish crafts that I start... but this year I've finished THREE!  wOOt wOOt!!

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
♦ I don't think I made any, as I don't generally.  I won't make any for this year, either.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
♦ Some of my coworkers did... But no one in my immediate family.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
♦ Just that one patient from work. 

5. What countries did you visit?
♦ Disney!!  No, it's not a country, but it's a whole 'nother world, legit lol.  Good lord I'm gay.

 

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
♦ More "me" time, more time with Craig, a better/more flexible work schedule.

7. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory?
♦ October 17, 2011 - the day Craig proposed and we got engaged!!   

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
♦ Probably finding my engagement ring hahaha.  Also finally finishing an embroidery hahaha.  I didn't do anything outstanding work-wise so.... not much to achieve there.

9. What was your biggest failure?
♦ I guess permanently losing Christina as a friend.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
♦ Not that I can recall, really.  Just anxiety shit, but nothing major.




11. What was the best thing you bought?
♦ My iPhone and my iPad!!  Mmmm so much Angry Birds!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
♦ My dad, as usual... He's such a winner.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
♦ Christina's.  Don't have to deal with that anymore, though.

14. Where did most of your money go?
♦ Most of it is in the bank!  YAAYYY!!  Though I did drop a pretty penny for the new washer/dryer.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
♦ Going back to Disney and getting engaged to my love

♦ "You & I" by Lady Gaga, "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People.

a) happier or sadder?: Hmmm.... that's tough.  I'm happier with my personal life but sadder with my work life.

c) richer or poorer?: Richer, baby!  Almost have $200G in my bank account

♦ Going out with friends/being more social.

♦ Worrying about every little thing, procrastinating.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
♦ I spent the morning with my parents and Matt, then stopped by Grammy's real quick and then worked 3-11.  Sucked.

21. Did you fall in love in 2011?
♦ I fell even MORE in love with Craig

♦ None.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
♦ "Grey's", "Modern Family", "Ax Men", "Pawn Stars", "Say Yes To The Dress", "Big Bang Theory".

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
♦ Yes.

25. What was the best book you read?
♦ The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Help... Both books were so well written!  And TGWPWF was so suspensful!!  Can't wait to read The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest when it comes out in paperback.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
♦ Mumford & Sons, though technically I discovered them last year.  Still drool for them. 

27. What did you want and get?
♦ To get engaged and have the ring of my dreams.... Mission accomplished!!




28. What did you want and not get?
♦ Disney engagement hahaha.

♦ I don't think it came out this year, but "Gnomeo and Juliet" was freakin adorable.

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
♦ I turned 26 on the 28th and I did pretty much nothing but veg out on my birthday.  It's exactly what I wanted!

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
♦ Getting that freakin swing shift position at work (which technically doesn't exist...).

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
♦ Lazy as hell lol.

♦ My vitamin X hahaha.

♦ No one, really.

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
♦ Our insanely crappy economy and all these people getting welfare and shit for sitting on their asses.  I bust my ass and these people are sitting in their homes smoking like chimneys and collecting from the government cuz they're lazy.  Fuckin a'.  Trust me, I know there's more to it than that, but it still pisses me off haha.

♦ I think Rachel from work... I love that girl.  And Linda from work, bitch is hilarious!
