still waiting for my checks in the mail... verrrrry frustrating.  still waiting on jury-duty... come on folks!  i hope i don't have to go in on a monday, because this means i'll be out money (see with the indians, if i miss a day, i still get paid... but on mondays i work for dr. bob... if i don't show up to work, me no get no money).  ah well... we'll see.

poppy had a UTI over the weekend....  she had to go out to pee every 20 minutes or so.... i called her in a script, but the pharmacy was closed when kim and i went to pick it up (i was mad as heck...)... so instead, just gave poppy lots of cranberry juice mixed with her food... it seemed to have worked!  she was better by yesterday afternoon.  phew. 

i like poppy a lot.... but i don't like a) her barking, b) the responsibility.  i would love a dog if i knew i had a few other reliable people to help take care of her in a pinch you know?  if i just worked part-time or something, it would be no big deal, but i'm gone 12 hours or so per day.... it's kind of unfair for the dog (since kim is gone a big chunk of time too, and she USED to come home before her car-accident, during lunches to take out the dog... not since that accident though of course... no means of conveyance!).

 

on the flip-side, my stocks aren't all in the toilet any more.... there was a stretch from september through late december where i was wondering if i would ever break even on ANY of the stocks i own.  ironically, one stock i only bought as kind of a joke.... turned out to be my biggest winner (percentage-wise) of late, so i sold yesterday... wooo.... i'm going to buy back in if it tanks down again (which i suspect it will)... this stock (ticker symbol CNOZ) is for a company that is developing a nasty-ass sounding hot-pocket rip-off called the 'pizza cone,' for sale in the US.  you like ice-cream right?  in a cone?  well imagine if instead of ice-cream, i poured tomato-paste, little chunks of pepperoni, and some sort of cheese-product into that cone.  yummay.  ah well, if it hits 4-cents a share again, i'll by another 10,000 shares or so.... why the heck not?  just as a disclaimer, i still have several stocks that i own that are in the absolute toilet, so please don't do anything based on 'my recommendation.'

 

alrighty.... that's it.  time to consult my 'list' from my entry the other day to see my REAL responsibilities.  oh plus i should probably go see some dental patients... i'm here all day folks, just make an appointment!  i pulled a couple of wisdom teeth this morning... did a beautiful all-porcelain crown... ahhhh good stuff.
